Prepare the Ingredients
Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water, removing any stems or damaged berries.

Cook the Sauce
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.

Cool and Serve
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the cranberry sauce cool to room temperature. Remove the cinnamon stick before serving. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
