Potato Layers

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and thinly slice the russet potatoes using a mandoline or sharp knife.

  3. 3

    Layering

In a large baking dish, start layering the potato slices. Between each layer, dot with butter, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and thyme leaves. Repeat until all potatoes are used.

Baking

  1. 4

    Bake

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the top layer is golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve with Toppings

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve slices of the potato layers topped with a dollop of crème fraîche and a spoonful of white sturgeon caviar.
