Preparation
- 1
Infuse the Tequila
Start by infusing your blanco tequila with jalapeños. Slice 2-3 jalapeños and add them to a bottle of blanco tequila. Seal the bottle and let it sit in a cool, dark place for at least 24 hours, but up to 48 hours for a spicier infusion. Strain before using.
- 2
Prepare the Glass
Rim your serving glass with coarse salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip it into a plate of coarse salt to coat the edge evenly.
Mixing the Drink
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 2 oz of jalapeño-infused blanco tequila, 1 oz of triple sec, and 0.5 oz of fresh lime juice.
- 4
Shake Well
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
- 5
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and 3 slices of jalapeños for an extra kick.
