Preparation of Topping

Chop Tomatoes
Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Basil
Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.

Garlic Preparation
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the mixing bowl.

Seasoning
Add balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to the tomato mixture. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
Prepare the Bread

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice the Baguette
Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch slices on a diagonal.

Brush with Olive Oil
Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush each slice with olive oil.

Toast the Bread
Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes or until the bread is golden and crispy.

Top the Bread
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon a generous amount of the tomato mixture onto each slice.
