Ingredients for BBQ Ribs

Method

Directions for BBQ Ribs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

  2. 2

    Make the BBQ Sauce

In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, smoked paprika, liquid smoke, and honey. Stir well and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.

  3. 3

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Cover tightly with another piece of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until they are tender.

  4. 4

    Glaze and Grill

Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top foil. Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce on both sides of the ribs. Preheat a grill (or broiler) and cook the ribs for 5-10 minutes on each side, basting with more sauce, until caramelized.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, then cut into portions and serve with remaining BBQ sauce.
