Method

Prep

  1. 1

    Prepare fruit

Hull and halve the strawberries. Peel the banana and break it into chunks. If using frozen fruit, measure while frozen and reduce ice quantity accordingly.

  2. 2

Measure the almond milk (or chosen milk), yogurt, sweetener, vanilla, and lemon juice.

Blend

  1. 3

    Combine in blender

Add the strawberries and banana to the blender first, then pour in the almond milk and add the Greek yogurt. Add the honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and lemon juice.

  2. 4

    Add ice and optional add-ins

Add the ice cubes (or frozen fruit) and the optional chia or flaxseed.

  3. 5

    Blend until smooth

Secure the lid and blend on high for 45–90 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides with a spatula if needed. Blend until the mixture is smooth and pourable with no large fruit chunks. If too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 ml) more milk and blend again. If too thin, add a few more ice cubes or 1/4 cup frozen strawberries and re-blend.

Finish & Serve

  1. 6

Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity: add more honey/maple to sweeten or a few drops of lemon juice to brighten. Give the blender a quick pulse to combine any additions.

  2. 7

Pour into a glass and serve immediately. Optionally garnish with a halved strawberry or a sprinkle of chia seeds.
