Method
Prepare Fruit
- 1
Peel and Chop Mango
If using fresh mango, peel and cut around the pit. Chop enough mango to measure 1 cup packed (about 1 medium mango).
- 2
Slice Banana
Peel and slice one ripe banana into coins to help the blender process smoothly.
Blend Smoothie
- 3
Add the chopped mango (1 cup), sliced banana (1 medium), chilled pineapple juice (1 cup), and chilled oat milk (1 cup) to a blender.
- 4
If using any optional add-ins, add them now: 1 tablespoon rolled oats for body, 1 teaspoon ground flaxseed for nutrition, and 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup if you want more sweetness.
- 5
Add ice cubes (up to 4) if you prefer a colder, thicker smoothie. Note: ice will dilute slightly; reduce pineapple juice by 2–3 tablespoons if you want to maintain flavor concentration.
- 6
Secure the blender lid. Start blending on low for 10–15 seconds to combine, then increase to high and blend for 30–45 seconds until completely smooth and no chunks remain. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula if needed and blend another 10–15 seconds.
Adjust & Serve
- 7
Taste the smoothie. If it needs more sweetness, add an additional 1/2 teaspoon honey or maple syrup and blend for 5–10 seconds. If too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons pineapple juice or oat milk and blend briefly.
- 8
Pour into a 16-ounce glass (or two smaller glasses). Garnish with a mango slice or pineapple wedge and a fresh mint leaf, if desired.
- 9
Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
