Dry Ingredients

Apples & Cream

Method

Prepare the Brutti Ma Buoni

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, powdered sugar, and ground ginger. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Beat Egg Whites

In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add in the vanilla extract and continue beating until stiff peaks form.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the dry mixture until just combined. Be careful not to deflate the egg whites.

  4. 4

    Add Hibiscus Tea

Fold in the brewed hibiscus tea until the batter is smooth and well incorporated.

  5. 5

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly golden.

Prepare Apples & Cream

  1. 6

    Cook Apples

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the apples are tender, stirring occasionally.

  2. 7

    Whip Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.

  3. 8

    Serve

To serve, place the baked brutti ma buoni on a plate, top with the cooked apples, and dollop with whipped cream.
