Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Cutting the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) to make fries.

  2. 2

    Soaking the Potatoes

Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Draining and Drying

After soaking, drain the fries and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  4. 4

    Heating the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Frying the Fries

Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  6. 6

    Draining and Seasoning

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain. Immediately sprinkle with salt and paprika to taste.

Grilling the Steak

  1. 7

    Preparing the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and fresh rosemary on both sides.

  2. 8

    Preheating the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F/232°C).

  3. 9

    Grilling the Steak

Place the seasoned steaks on the hot grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  4. 10

    Resting the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
