Caesar Dressing

Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Romaine Lettuce

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or grit. Shake off excess water and tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Grate the Parmesan Cheese

Using a grater or a food processor, grate the parmesan cheese into fine shreds. Set aside for later use.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Croutons

If using store-bought croutons, measure out 1 cup. If making homemade, cut bread into cubes, toss with olive oil, salt, and garlic powder, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Dressing

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and anchovy paste. Whisk together until smooth and well combined.

  2. 5

    Season the Dressing

Taste the dressing and add salt and black pepper to your preference. Mix well to incorporate the seasonings.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large salad bowl, add the prepared romaine lettuce, grated parmesan cheese, and croutons.

  2. 7

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad ingredients. Toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly with the dressing.

  3. 8

    Serve

Serve the Caesar salad immediately, garnished with extra parmesan cheese and croutons if desired.
