Preparation of Ribs
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Start by removing the membrane from the back of the pork ribs for better flavor absorption. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
- 2
Apply Dry Rub
In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Rub this mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Cooking
- 3
Slow Cook the Ribs
Place the ribs in a slow cooker on low heat. Cook for 6 to 8 hours until the ribs are tender and fully cooked.
- 4
Add BBQ Sauce
During the last 30 minutes of cooking, pour the BBQ sauce over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Allow the sauce to heat through and caramelize slightly.
Serving
- 5
Serve the Ribs
Once cooked, carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker. Let them rest for a few minutes before cutting into individual portions. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
