Method

Prepare Proteins

1

Cook Ground Beef

In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and season with taco seasoning if desired.

2

Shred Beef

If using shredded beef, cook it in a slow cooker with your favorite seasoning for 6-8 hours on low, then shred with two forks.

3

Cook Chicken

For chicken, boil the chicken breast in salted water until cooked through, about 15-20 minutes. Shred the chicken using two forks and mix with taco seasoning if desired.

Prepare Tortillas

4

Crispy Corn Tortillas

Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the corn tortillas until golden and crispy, about 30 seconds per side. Drain on paper towels.

5

Soft Flour Tortillas

Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until they are pliable.

Prepare Toppings

6

Prepare Lettuce and Tomatoes

Wash and chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Dice the tomatoes into small cubes.

7

Heat Refried Beans

In a small saucepan, heat the refried beans over low heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally.

8

Cook Spanish Rice

Prepare the Spanish rice according to package instructions or heat pre-cooked rice in a saucepan until warm.
