Cocktail

Method

Build & Serve

  1. 1

    Chill glass

If desired, place a copper mule mug or highball glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before preparing the cocktail to keep it extra cold.

  2. 2

    Add ice

Fill the chilled mule mug or highball glass with cubed ice until about 2/3 full (approximately 1 cup of ice).

  3. 3

    Measure spirits and citrus

Pour 2 oz Stoli Vodka, 1 oz watermelon schnapps, 1/2 oz St-Germain elderflower liqueur, and 1/2 oz fresh lime juice over the ice.

  4. 4

    Stir gently

Using a bar spoon, gently stir the spirits and lime juice with the ice for about 8–10 seconds to combine while keeping the drink cold and slightly diluted.

  5. 5

    Top with ginger beer

Carefully top the cocktail with 4 oz Owen's Ginger Beer. Pour slowly over the back of the spoon or down the side of the glass to retain carbonation.

  6. 6

    Final stir

Give the filled drink one short gentle stir (2–3 turns) to marry the ginger beer with the spirit mix without losing too much fizz.

  7. 7

    Garnish & serve

Garnish with a watermelon wedge or chunk on the rim, a lime wheel, and a sprig of fresh mint. Serve with a straw if desired.
