Method
Prepare & Muddle
- 1
Mint Preparation
Lightly slap 4 of the fresh mint leaves between your palms to release oils, then add them to a cocktail shaker or mixing glass. Reserve 2 mint leaves whole for garnish.
- 2
Add the peach purée (1 oz) and sour mix (0.75 oz) to the shaker with the muddled mint. Gently muddle 4-6 times — just enough to extract aroma and marry flavors without shredding the mint into bits.
Build & Shake
- 3
Add 2 oz Absolut Lime Vodka to the shaker with the muddled mint, peach purée, and sour mix.
- 4
Fill the shaker halfway with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for about 10–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy from the purée.
Assemble the Mule
- 5
Fill a copper mule mug (or highball glass) with cubed ice (about 1 cup).
- 6
Double-strain the shaken contents into the prepared mug over the ice to remove mint bits. If you prefer more texture, use a single strain.
- 7
Top with 4 oz chilled Owen's Ginger Beer + Lime, pouring gently to preserve carbonation. Stir once or twice gently with a bar spoon to combine.
Garnish & Serve
- 8
Garnish with the reserved whole mint leaves (slap once for aroma) and a lime wedge on the rim. Add a peach slice if using.
- 9
Serve immediately with a straw or short stirrer. Recommend sipping and enjoying the balance of bright lime, juicy peach, and spicy ginger.
