Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Prepare glass

Chill a copper mule mug or highball glass by filling it with ice while you prepare the cocktail.

  2. 2

    Muddle mandarin

Discard the ice used to chill the glass. Add the mandarin segments (peeled and separated) to the bottom of the glass or a cocktail shaker. Gently muddle 1–2 times to release juices and oils without pulverizing the fruit.

  3. 3

    Build the cocktail

Add 2 oz Absolut Mandarin Vodka, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz sour mix into the glass or shaker with the muddled mandarin. Fill the glass/shaker about three-quarters full with fresh ice (or add fresh ice to the chilled mug).

  4. 4

    Stir or shake

If using a shaker: cap and shake lightly for 6–8 seconds to chill and combine. If building in the glass: gently stir with a bar spoon 8–10 times to integrate the ingredients and chill the drink.

  5. 5

    Top with ginger beer

Strain (optional) into the chilled mule mug or leave in the glass if you prefer fruit in the drink. Top with about 4 oz Owen's Ginger Beer + Lime (or other ginger beer) to fill. Give a gentle stir once to combine.

  6. 6

    Garnish and serve

Garnish with an orange wheel on the rim and a mandarin segment floated on top. Add a mint sprig if desired. Serve with a straw and enjoy.
