Chill glass (optional)
If you prefer your drink extra cold, place the serving glass in the freezer for 10–15 minutes before preparing.

Fill a highball or beverage glass about three-quarters full with ice cubes (approximately 1 cup). The amount of ice can be adjusted based on preference for dilution and chill.

Open a 12 fl oz can or bottle of Coca-Cola (or pour 360 ml cola) and slowly pour it over the ice. Pouring slowly preserves carbonation and helps avoid excessive foaming.

Give the drink a gentle stir with a straw or spoon once to evenly chill without flattening the soda.

If desired, garnish with a lime wedge squeezed lightly into the drink and dropped in, and/or a maraschino cherry placed on top or on a cocktail pick.
