Marinating Chicken

- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Grilling Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the hot grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Rest the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 6
Prepare the Buns
While the chicken is resting, slice the whole grain sandwich buns in half.
- 7
Add the Toppings
Spread mayonnaise on each half of the buns. On the bottom half, layer the lettuce leaves, sliced tomato, grilled chicken, cheddar cheese, and red onion.
- 8
Complete the Sandwich
Place the top half of the bun on the sandwich, pressing down gently. Serve immediately.
