Pulled Pork and Toppings

Method

Preparation and Assembly

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pulled Pork

Rub the pork shoulder with smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Place it in a slow cooker with 1 cup of water and cook on low for 8 hours or until tender. Once cooked, shred the pork using two forks.

  2. 2

    Cook the Kielbasa and Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the kielbasa sausage until browned and heated through. Remove and set aside. In the same skillet, cook the smoked pepper bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Mix the BBQ Sauce

In a bowl, mix the shredded pulled pork with the Sweet n’ Spicy BBQ sauce until well coated.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

Slice the sweet potato buns in half and toast them on a skillet or grill until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sloppy Pig

On the bottom half of each bun, layer the pulled pork, grilled kielbasa, bacon, smoked cheddar cheese, spicy coleslaw, pickles, and onion straws. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Sloppy Pig immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
