Method

Fried Chicken

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, combine chicken breasts and buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Breading

In a separate bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  3. 3

    Coat the Chicken

Remove chicken from buttermilk and let excess drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.

  4. 4

    Fry the Chicken

In a deep pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken pieces for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 5

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the bun. Add fried chicken, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

House Cut Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and cut the Russet potatoes into fries, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 8

    Fry the Fries

In a separate deep pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the cut potatoes in batches for about 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.
