Dry Ingredients

Method

Preparation of Dry Ingredients

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined. Set aside.

Preparation of Wet Ingredients

  1. 2

    Cream Butter and Sugars

In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

  2. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract until smooth.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 4

    Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  2. 5

    Fold in Chocolate Chips

Using a spatula or wooden spoon, fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Baking

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 7

    Scoop Dough

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.

  3. 8

    Bake Cookies

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still soft. The cookies will continue to set after being removed from the oven.

  4. 9

    Cool Cookies

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
