Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Pasta
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
- 2
Sauté Shallots
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped shallots and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- 3
Cook Mussels and Shrimp
Add the mussels and shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and the mussels begin to open.
- 4
Add Sauce Ingredients
Pour in the white wine, lemon juice, and add the capers. Stir well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the mussels are fully opened and the shrimp is cooked through.
- 5
Combine with Pasta
Add the cooked pasta and melody tomatoes to the skillet. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
- 6
Finish and Serve
Stir in the grated Pecorino cheese, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with additional cheese if desired.
