Fried Chicken Ingredients

Method

Fried Chicken Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Rinse the chicken pieces under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. 2

    Coat the Chicken

Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully add the chicken pieces to the hot oil in batches, being sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 12-15 minutes per side, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).

  5. 5

    Drain the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the oil and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

  6. 6

    Add Hot Sauce

Drizzle the fried chicken with House Steen’s hot sauce to taste.
