Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with 2 tsp of Creole seasoning. Form the mixture into two 7 oz patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Onions

Slice the medium onion and sauté in a pan with a little oil over medium heat until they are caramelized and golden brown.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Scallion Aioli

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise with chopped scallions and lemon juice. Stir until well combined.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the buns lightly. Place the cooked patty on the bottom bun, top with sautéed onions, and add bread & butter pickles. Cover with the top bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the burgers with a side of French fries and the scallion aioli on the side for dipping.
