Prepare the Grits
In a medium saucepan, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Gradually stir in the grits, reduce heat to low, and cover. Cook for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until the grits are thick and creamy. Stir in the butter, cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper. Keep warm.

Cook the Shrimp
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the remaining butter. Add the diced tasso ham and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until it starts to brown. Add the minced garlic and green onions, and cook for an additional minute.

Add the Shrimp and Seasoning
Add the shrimp to the skillet, sprinkle with Creole seasoning, and cook for about 3-5 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

Serve
Spoon the creamy cheese grits onto plates and top with the sautéed shrimp and tasso mixture. Garnish with additional green onions if desired.
