Turkey Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

Prepare the Turkey
Remove the turkey from its packaging, and pat it dry with paper towels.

Season the Turkey
Rub the turkey all over with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.

Roast the Turkey
Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 3-4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Baste the turkey every hour with its own juices.

Rest the Turkey
Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before pulling the meat apart.

Slice the Vegetables
While the turkey is resting, slice the tomato and onion into thin slices.

Pull the Turkey
Using two forks or your hands, pull the roasted turkey into bite-sized pieces.

Assemble the Sandwich
Take a bread roll and spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the inside of each half. Layer the pulled turkey, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato slices, and onion slices.
