Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients. If using optional ingredients like tomato or bacon, prepare them by slicing the tomato and cooking the bacon until crispy.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Butter the Bread

Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread. This will help achieve a golden-brown crust.

  2. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on a plate. Add the cheddar cheese slices on top, followed by any optional ingredients like tomato or bacon. Finally, top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.

  3. 4

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the sandwich in the skillet. Grill for about 3-4 minutes or until the bottom slice is golden brown.

  4. 5

    Flip and Grill

Using a spatula, gently flip the sandwich over. Grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until it is also golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Serving

  1. 6

    Slice and Serve

Remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Cut it diagonally and serve warm. Enjoy!
