Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Slice the onion thinly and the tomato into slices. Rinse and pat dry the lettuce leaves. Set aside.

Layer the Deli Meats
Slice the hoagie rolls in half and lay them open. Layer the Genoa salami, capicola, and mortadella evenly across each roll.

Add Cheese and Onions
Place provolone cheese slices on top of the deli meats, followed by the sautéed onions.
- 5
Add Fresh Ingredients
Top with fresh lettuce leaves and tomato slices.
- 6
Drizzle with Olive Oil
Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the sandwich fillings.
Grilling the Sandwich
- 7
Grill the Sandwich
Preheat a grill or panini press. Place the assembled sandwiches on the grill and press down gently. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
