    Preheat Oven

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Mix Dry Ingredients

    In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

    Cream Butter and Sugar

    In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the sugars until light and fluffy.

    Add Egg and Vanilla

    Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

    Combine Mixtures

    Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

    Scoop 12 equal portions of the brookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until edges are firm. Remove from oven and let cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
