Chicken and Toppings

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Grill Chicken

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Season the thinly sliced chicken with salt and pepper. Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through and slightly charred. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare Vegetables

While the chicken is grilling, wash and slice the lettuce leaves and tomato. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare Chipotle Ranch Dressing

If using store-bought chipotle ranch dressing, measure out 60ml and set aside. If making homemade, blend mayonnaise, chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, and a bit of lime juice until smooth.

Assemble Sandwich

  1. 4

    Layer Ingredients

Slice the submarine rolls in half lengthwise. Begin by layering the grilled chicken evenly on the bottom half of each roll. Place a slice of American cheese on top of the chicken.

  2. 5

    Add Toppings

Next, add the crispy cheddar onions, followed by the lettuce leaves and sliced tomato. Drizzle the chipotle ranch dressing generously over the top.

  3. 6

    Close Sandwiches

Place the top half of the rolls over the fillings and press down gently to secure all ingredients.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Cut the sandwiches in half if desired, and serve immediately with extra chipotle ranch dressing on the side.
