Preparation of Wagyu Beef

  1. 1

    Cook the Wagyu Beef

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season the American Wagyu beef with salt and pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved.

  2. 2

    Rest the Beef

Remove the beef from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.

Coleslaw Preparation

  1. 3

    Combine Coleslaw Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded green cabbage and carrot. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

  2. 4

    Mix Coleslaw

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture and toss until well combined. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Assembling the Sub

  1. 5

    Prepare the Sub Rolls

Slice the sub rolls in half lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Lightly toast if desired.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

Spread Russian dressing on the bottom half of each sub roll. Layer with sliced American Wagyu beef, followed by provolone cheese slices, and top it off with a generous amount of coleslaw.

  3. 7

    Finish the Sub

Close the rolls and press down gently. Optionally, add more Russian dressing on top before serving.
