Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Slice the Vegetables

Thinly slice the onion and mushrooms. If using whole hot or sweet peppers, slice them into rings or strips.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Beef

Cut the American Wagyu beef into thin strips to ensure quick cooking.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and mushrooms, sprinkle with salt and black pepper, and sauté until they are tender and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Wagyu Beef

In the same skillet, push the sautéed vegetables to the side and add another tablespoon of olive oil. Increase the heat to medium-high, add the thinly sliced Wagyu beef, and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until the beef is browned and cooked through.

  3. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Once the beef is cooked, reduce the heat to low, and layer the slices of white American cheese over the beef and vegetables. Cover the skillet with a lid to help melt the cheese for about 2-3 minutes.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Prepare the Rolls

While the cheese is melting, slice the hoagie rolls open lengthwise without cutting all the way through.

  2. 7

    Fill the Rolls

Once the cheese has melted, remove the skillet from heat. Using a spatula, scoop the cheesesteak mixture and fill each hoagie roll generously.

  3. 8

    Add Peppers

Top the filled rolls with sliced hot or sweet peppers as desired.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve Hot

Serve the American Wagyu cheesesteaks immediately, with additional hot or sweet peppers on the side if desired.
