Prepare the Coffee Mixture
In a shallow dish, combine the brewed espresso and rum. Set aside to cool.

Make the Mascarpone Cream
In a large bowl, beat together the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the Tiramisu
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the espresso mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.

Repeat the Layers
Add another layer of the soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone cream.

Chill
Cover and refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours, or overnight to set.

Serve
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
