Method
Scone Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- 3
Cut in Butter
Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4
Add Cream and Berries
Stir in the heavy cream until just combined. Gently fold in the olallieberries, being careful not to overmix.
- 5
Shape Scones
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat it into a 1-inch thick circle. Cut into small triangles or use a biscuit cutter for round scones.
- 6
Bake
Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 7
Dust and Serve
Let the scones cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar. Serve warm with Devonshire cream.
