Cooking Instructions
- 1
Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- 2
Combine Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until smooth.
- 3
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.
- 4
Cook the Pancakes
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease it with butter. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
- 5
Flip and Finish Cooking
Flip the pancakes and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Serve
Serve the pancakes warm with butter and maple syrup on top.
