Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mixing Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Do not overwork the meat to keep the patties tender.

  2. 2

    Forming Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Grilling the Patties

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes on one side.

  2. 4

    Adding Cheese

Flip the patties and place a slice of Pepper Jack cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patty is cooked to your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Preparing the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 6

    Building the Burger

To assemble, place a leaf of lettuce on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, slices of tomato, pickles, and your desired amounts of ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serving

  1. 7

    Ready to Serve

Serve the Pepper Jack Burgers immediately while hot, with extra ketchup and mustard on the side if desired.
