Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Trim any excess fat from the pork tenderloin and pat it dry with paper towels. Season the pork with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- 2
Wrap the Pork
Lay the bacon strips on a clean surface, slightly overlapping them. Place the seasoned pork tenderloin in the center and wrap the bacon around it tightly, securing the ends with toothpicks if necessary.
Cooking
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 4
Sear the Wrapped Pork
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the wrapped pork on all sides until the bacon is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- 5
Bake in the Oven
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
- 6
Rest and Serve
Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with optional barbecue sauce and sprinkle with fresh herbs if desired.
