Burger Ingredients

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tater Tots

Cook the frozen tater tots according to package instructions until golden and crispy. Once cooked, smash them lightly with a fork and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  3. 3

    Make the Burger Patties

Divide the ground beef into 2 equal portions and form them into patties. Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Cook the Burger Patties

In the same skillet used for bacon, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

  5. 5

    Fry the Eggs

In another pan, fry the eggs sunny-side up or to your liking. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Maple Chipotle Sauce

In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup and chipotle sauce together. Adjust to taste.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Burger

On one Belgian waffle, layer one burger patty with melted cheese, followed by smashed tater tots, bacon, and a fried egg. Drizzle with the maple chipotle sauce. Top with the second burger patty and another Belgian waffle.

  8. 8

    Serve

Cut the burger in half if desired and serve immediately, enjoying the combination of flavors.
