Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler) and stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, large eggs, and large egg yolks until the mixture is pale and thick.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring constantly to combine. Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- 5
Add Flour
Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 6
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 2/3 full.
- 7
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is soft.
- 8
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool for 1 minute, then run a knife around the edges and invert onto plates. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
