Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps in even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and fresh rosemary. Ensure an even coating.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to high heat. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time depending on thickness and desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes (if desired) and cut them into thin strips to make fries.

  2. 6

    Soak the Fries

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, which helps them become crispier.

  3. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add a batch of soaked fries to the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste.

  5. 9

    Serve the Fries

Repeat the frying process with the remaining potato strips. Serve hot alongside the grilled ribeye.
