Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This will ensure your cakes bake evenly.

Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until the mixture is thick and pale.

Combine Mixtures
Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring continuously until well combined.

Add Flour and Salt
Gently fold in the flour and a pinch of salt until just combined. Do not overmix.
Baking the Cakes

Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.

Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.

Cool Briefly
Remove the cakes from the oven and allow them to cool for 1 minute.
Serving the Cake

Invert and Serve
Carefully run a knife around the edge of each ramekin. Invert the ramekins onto individual plates. The cakes should release easily.

Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top or on the side.
