Chill the Glass
Place your cocktail glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare the drink.

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour 2 oz of Michter's Bourbon, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

Stir
Stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds, or until well chilled.

Strain
Remove the cocktail glass from the freezer or discard the ice water, then strain the mixture into the chilled glass.

Express the oils of the orange twist over the drink and then drop it into the glass. Optionally, add a maraschino cherry as an additional garnish.
