Method

Burger Patties Preparation

1

Prepare the Beef

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

2

Form Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging during cooking.

Guinness BBQ Sauce Preparation

3

Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the Guinness beer, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

4

Simmer Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cooking the Burger

5

Grill the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

6

Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.

Assembly

7

Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster. Spread a generous amount of Guinness BBQ sauce on the bottom bun, add the lettuce, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, and top with crispy fried onions. Finish with the top bun.

8

Serve

Serve the Guinness burgers immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
