Preparation of Ingredients
- 1
Prepare the Lingonberries
Rinse the lingonberries under cold water and remove any stems or leaves. Set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Rosemary
Finely chop the fresh rosemary leaves, discarding the woody stems.
- 3
Prepare the Lemongrass
Trim the ends of the lemongrass stalks and remove the outer tough layers. Crush the stalks slightly with the back of a knife to release their flavor.
Cooking and Combining
- 4
Make the Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool.
- 5
Infuse the Syrup
Add the chopped rosemary and crushed lemongrass to the cooled simple syrup. Let it steep for at least 30 minutes to infuse the flavors.
- 6
Combine Lingonberries with Syrup
In a large mixing bowl, combine the rinsed lingonberries with the infused syrup. Stir gently to coat the berries.
- 7
Chill and Serve
Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled as a refreshing drink or topping.
