Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Lingonberries
If using fresh lingonberries, wash them thoroughly under cold water. If using frozen, allow them to thaw at room temperature for a few hours or in the refrigerator overnight.
- 2
Make the Lingonberry Mixture
In a medium saucepan, combine the prepared lingonberries and water. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- 3
Simmer the Mixture
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the lingonberries have softened and released their juices.
- 4
Strain the Mixture
After simmering, use a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the mixture into a large bowl, pressing down on the berries to extract as much liquid as possible.

- 6
Cool the Mixture
Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature. Then, chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Serve the Lingonberry-ade
