Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wasabi Cream

In a small bowl, mix together the wasabi paste and heavy cream until smooth. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Sauce

In another bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard until well combined. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Season the Tuna

Pat the Ahi tuna steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  4. 4

    Sear the Tuna

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add a little sesame oil if needed. Place the tuna steaks in the skillet and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, or longer if you prefer it well done.

  5. 5

    Slice the Tuna

Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Then, slice the steaks against the grain into thin strips.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Drizzle the sesame-soy-mustard sauce over the sliced tuna, sprinkle with black sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve with wasabi cream on the side.
