Soup Preparation

1. Sauté the Vegetables

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, garlic, celery, and carrot. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are softened.

2. Add Broth and Seasoning

Pour in the chicken broth and add Old Bay seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook for another 10 minutes.

3. Incorporate Crab Meat

Gently fold in the lump crab meat and let it heat through for about 5 minutes.

4. Finish with Cream

Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
