  1. 1

    Prepare flavor butter

Melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl or saucepan over low heat until fully melted. Stir in the Parmesan, lime or lemon juice, chopped parsley, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth and uniform. The mixture should be pourable but slightly thick.

  2. 2

    Dress the chips

Open the bag of chips and transfer the chips into a large mixing bowl (or work directly in the bag if preferred). Drizzle the warm flavored butter evenly over the chips while gently tossing with a spatula or by rolling the bag gently to distribute. Toss just enough to coat most chips without crushing them.

  3. 3

    Finish and serve

Taste one chip and adjust seasoning if needed: add a pinch more salt, a little more lime/lemon juice, or an extra sprinkle of Parmesan. Transfer coated chips to a serving bowl and sprinkle any remaining parsley or Parmesan on top. Serve immediately so chips stay crisp.

  4. 4

    Storage note

If not eating right away, store leftover coated chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 24 hours (note: they will lose some crispness). For best texture, coat just before serving.
