Chicken Wings

Buffalo Sauce

Method

Preparation of Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Clean the Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Wings

In a large bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add the chicken wings and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat the wings evenly with the seasoning.

  3. 3

    Marinate

Let the seasoned wings sit for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.

Cooking the Wings

  1. 4

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 5

    Arrange Wings on Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer on the rack.

  3. 6

    Bake the Wings

Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.

Making the Buffalo Sauce

  1. 7

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.

  2. 8

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the hot sauce, garlic powder, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Mix until well combined.

Coating the Wings

  1. 9

    Toss Wings in Sauce

Once the wings are done baking, place them in a large bowl and pour the buffalo sauce over the wings. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.

Serving

  1. 10

    Serve the Wings

Serve the buffalo wings hot with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing, if desired.
