Prepare the Patty or Chicken

Season the Meat
Sprinkle the Angus beef patty or chicken breast with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Grill the Meat
Place the seasoned meat on the grill. Cook the Angus beef patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or grill the chicken breast for about 6-7 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Melt the Cheese
Place the slice of extra sharp cheddar cheese on the grilled meat during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
Prepare the Jack Daniels Whiskey Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a small saucepan, combine Jack Daniels whiskey, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.

Simmer the Sauce
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Let it cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Build the Burger
Place the grilled Angus beef patty or chicken breast on a serving plate. Top with crispy bacon, the fried onion ring, and drizzle generously with the Jack Daniels whiskey sauce.
