Mojito Ingredients

Method

Mojito Preparation

1

Muddle Mint

In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and sugar. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press down on the mint leaves to release their oils. Be careful not to shred the leaves; you want to release the flavor without tearing them apart.

2

Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves into the glass. You can also drop one half into the glass for added flavor.

3

Pour in the Rum

Add the white rum to the glass, mixing it with the muddled mint and lime juice.

4

Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top.

5

Top with Soda Water

Pour soda water over the ice until the glass is filled to the brim. Stir gently to mix all the ingredients together.

6

Garnish and Serve

Garnish your mojito with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge if desired. Serve immediately with a straw.
